This hurt..this hurt a lot. I was surprised how much my arms blew up so early in the workout. Got 6 rounds and 20 calories, was aiming for 8. The positives: I love ny new @assaultairbike , it’s Monday and I got a workout in, I didn’t give up on the day and got it in after dinner. Tuesday Workout Tips! · AMRAP 9 | Rest 5min | Repeat! 12 Push-Ups 12 Push Presses #95/65 9 Lateral Bar Burpees 9 Front Squats #same · Know your gears! It’s important to have an understanding of what a 9min workout should “feel” like. This allows us to use the right gear and work at the same intensity level for the duration of the effort. · Intensity levels could vary from 50% (just going through the motions) to 100% (max effort, all you’ve got). The point for us today is to find the level that we can maintain for the duration of the 9 minutes. The fitter you are, the higher the perceived level you’re likely to hold. · To give an example of how this might play out today, athlete A comes out at 90%, stays there for 2min and then spends the last 7min at 50% (and in a world of pain!). Athlete B comes out at 75%, falls behind in the beginning because she is not working at max pace, but is able to sustain that pace for the entire 9 minutes. Who gets the better score? Athlete B! · Find the gear and the intensity level that work for you and let you do the most work over the time domain.
